About LazyPainter

More painted minis in less time. More fun in the process, better end result, and no need for advanced stuff like layering or blending.

Hi, fellow hobbyist! I'm Dmitry Bogdanov, the LazyPainter.

I love speedpainting and smart color schemes creation. I enjoy painting nice-looking miniatures in an unbelievably small amount of time, with personal record being 23 minutes per model. In recent years I've been sharing my method, because...

I'm on a quest to inspire other hobbyists with this speedpainting approach. To see more painted armies across gaming tables and in display cabinets. To achieve that I created LazyPainter website, where I share miniature painting guides like this:

>> Washing: The speediest technique out there (and 23 minutes per model record)

So, if you're lazy and impatient like me, or just can't spend hours and hours on every mini, and you want your stuff painted in the least amount of time — this method will suit you well.

METHOD

The majority of hobbyists and gamers paint their minis with HUGE amount of unnecessary effort. This method cuts it all, and drastically decreases time cost per miniature while also improving quality. And I share if freely:

You can start by grabbing this free PDF primer from my website. It will give you a brief overview and basic concepts such as "PSR Formula" and "Speedpainting SAW".

PATREON
and where your money goes

LazyPainting is a labor of love and a personal quest. But creating miniature painting tutorials takes A TON of time, while all the web services, domain, hosting, equipment and apps costs money, with considerable expenses on a regular basis.

Also, I need coffee. A lot of coffee. How else do you think 23 minutes per model is even possible? So...

If you want to join me on this quest, Patreon is the way to go.

Every bit of support is much appreciated. Raised money will be spent on heaps of unnecessary stuff like coffee and croissants ahem.. covering this project costs.

REWARDS

I want to share the Method PDF and all articles and guides freely, without any paywall. I also want to keep LazyPainter website ad-free.

That's why this Patreon campaign is not about buying gated content from me, but more about supporting the project and getting a little bit extra.

Current rewards include:
  • Exclusive Discord. A place where we can chat about hobby, and where I can answer your miniature painting questions and give hobby advice.
  • Content Early Access. New LazyPainter articles week prior to general release.
  • Insider Updates. Work in progress photos, upcoming content polls, and insider news.
  • Behind-the-scenes Commentary. Complementary videos for patrons, with additional insights into technique or process — when I have something extra to say when publishing new guides.
  • Personal Feedback. Feedback group, where I can give you focused constructive critique on your painted miniatures (I'll do a voiceover video), and advise you on how to approach your hobby goals.

Thanks for checking out my Patreon campaign!

And if you decide to join me on this quest — my deepest gratitude from the bottom of my heart, and let's get painting.
