THANK YOU to my amazing followers and patrons – you make what I do possible.

I analyze and write about the intersections of U.S. and international politics, media, human rights, human behavior, and psychology. My pieces have been published by Shareblue Media, Salon, and Huffington Post, and my tweets and Twitter threads have been published by numerous mainstream news media outlets within their own articles.

As a co-founder and Managing Partner of Renna Communications, a small public interest communication firm, my work helped shape the national narrative on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender issues from 2006-2014. In that role, I wrote material for attribution to others that was published in ever major journalistic outlet, including the New York Times and the Washington Post. My professional background includes two decades of work as a psychotherapist specializing in trauma. I am also a former financial advisor and was previously a Series Seven licensed broker.

I earned a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude with a focus on Economics and International Relations from Smith College, including one year of study at the London School for Economics and Political Science. I was awarded a Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School for Social Work.
