Budget in the Black!
$100 per month
Nobody gets into a hobby like putting comics on the web for free and expects it to be a no-cost venture. When Aric and I started Blank It back in 2008, we kept track of every penny we spent and earned, mostly so we could be fair on splitting all costs and earnings 50%/50%. It was going okay when we were printing books and selling T-shirts for a little bit there, but we never recouped costs. The ledger document is frozen at a bit over eleven hundred dollars. Like I said, we never expected to get that money all back... but it's still a goal of mine to know that my projects doesn't just take money as well as time away from our families. That's the whole point of this Patreon.
An anthology book!
$250 per month
This is more of a dream of mine than a goal, but for heaven's sake. If I ran a Patreon that ever made this much moolah, I'd definitely put it into printing another book of comics. This time, having some of my classic comics like Lethal Doses and Winter, plus maybe some more crazy stuff I did in my past, like the character designs for cartoon pilots that never got off the ground. I have a library of content in my hard drives and basement shelves that could make for some fun time travel through the last 17 years of my creations. This is a vanity project, I'm sure. But if you guys paid this much to see my stuff, I'd like to make it worth everyone's while.
Blank It Revival
$500 per month
If you guys make this Patreon worth $500 a month, I'll start putting up weekly Blank It comics, no excuses.
ALL THE COMICS
$1,000 per month
At this level, I'll draw two Blank It comics and a Kaleiope tie-in comic every week. This is entering part-time job territory.
???!!!???
$2,000 per month
You guys will never get to this level, but I can dream. I'll make you guys a beat-em-up retro adventure video game of Blank It. Multiplayer online canvas insanity. Don't test me. I'll do it.
The BIG Patreon Creator Pledge
$2,110 per month
By the trend started by Scott Santens, I pledge that any income I make from this website beyond $2,110 (that's $1,111 + $333 x 3 kids) means that my basic income needs are being met, and any excess to this will be pledged BACK into other Patreons to support those creators who are doing the same. Right now I already support over a dozen Patreons, but I will share the love across those that are trying to make a living, as much as we can afford. We. Because you're doing it, not me.

Hi, I'm Lemmo, formerly published under the moniker of HotSoup, back when you had to have a made-up name for everything. I'm a comic artist and I love game design. I love thematic, indie tabletop games, immersive and genre-challenging video games, and comics that people don't quite get when they first read them, but are hooked when they see the big picture.

I'll be honest with you. Patreon is a way for me to justify time to myself and my family that my artistic and creative contributions to the world have worth, and are worth putting time into. There is no better salve for slaving over a piece of digest content then seeing that it is appreciated and has added something impactful to the ocean of creator content out there. Patreon helps me say "I should make another comic tonight" than just burn the evening on refreshing soul-sucking clickbait webpages.

You are, with your funding, telling me that you earnestly like to enjoy content that I create, and it warms my heart enough to build it. It's a positive feedback loop that helps everyone. So thank you for giving me purpose.
