The voice actors are spectacular people, and they make this series what it is with their amazing acting! They deserve to get something back for their efforts!
Another Render Computer!
The render times are what keep the episodes coming out slower than we'd all like, each time an additional computer is added to the ones already chugging along rendering, the quicker it all goes, as the work gets divided up equally among all the computers.
Licencing Music!
So this may be a stretch, but it's very very expensive to licence existing songs to play on things, my cheapest quote was $2,000 for 30 seconds, these are authentic songs that would be playing on the top 10 in 1967, so they're well known and popular tracks!
About
I have been making movies since high-school in 1997, my biggest inspiration to start came from Resident Evil computer games, but before that I'd grown up on Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars and Star Trek, so I was already primed!
I was personally invited down to WETA Studios in 2001 by Two-Time Oscar Winner Richard Taylor, after he watched a movie I made in my last year of High School, that certainly pushed my inspiration and drive to the limit to keep making content.
I started teaching myself animation in 2004 and made a lot of 2D stuff using flash, in 2009-2012 I made a sci-fi web-series called Frontier - Prelude to Darkness. Also in 2011 I went to animation school to refine what I'd taught myself already and learned 3D Animation on Maya, and I've been doing that since.
The Arksville Homicides is my latest foray into animated web-series work.

It's 1967 - in Arksville, Pennsylvania an ancient demonic evil is about to surface, and it's up to the local police to stop it.
For those big on machinima, the paranormal and horror, this original roller coaster ride into a demonic hell set against the backdrop of small-town America, will have you leaving the lights on.
I am making the world's first CG Horror web-series, called 'The Arksville Homicides', the story of a small-town dealing with a demonic presence in 1967. Unlike most horror stories, it's not up to a couple of brothers or some specialized ghost squad to deal with the problem, it's up to the local police department and a crime family, two unlikely allies, but both parties wanting to protect their town.

THE PRODUCTION
So far I have made 2 Episodes, and keep trying to use Kickstarter as a means of raising funds to make the production work.
With my first campaign, I didn't raise my goal, but was able to gather enough money to purchase sound equipment such as a mic for voice recording, a third computer to help get the rendering time down, and motion scanning devices for doing motion capture.
The money I use from Patreon will go paying voice actors, getting a fourth and possibly fifth computer in order to get the rendering time down even further.
My goal is to be able to release a 5-8 minute episode each month, at the moment this is not achievable due to massive amount of render times, the first episode which was 3:30 minutes took 11 months to complete with 2 computers sharing the load, the 2nd episode which was 5:30 took 3 months with 3 computers and better and smarter methods of rendering on my part.
Of course after the voice actors are paid for their time and work, the money also helps me pay bills, rent, food, so that I can actually devote a lot more of my time to the project and not be out searching for part time jobs.
So it's getting there, but still a long way to go.
This is where Patreon and YOU can help!
PS. This isn't a pay to see series, it will keep getting made whether you contribute or not, so don't panic folks!
PPS. I don't mind if you only contribute for one month then stop, I understand that money is tight in most places of the world! (believe me, I know this from experience! lol)
