Hi there, friends!

We’re Jim and Steph (and Katie the boat dog)! We document our adventurous life as liveaboards in the beautiful Pacific Northwest via videos on Youtube. We love sharing our sailing adventures, boat projects, tiny kitchen recipes and strategies for living life to the fullest with our friends and family around the world.

But we didn’t always live like this. Up until July of 2016, we resided in a 1,500 square foot house, toiling away at desk jobs to pay for a mortgage and a house full of possessions we thought we needed. We were living for the weekends, for the next two-week vacation when we could escape our mundane reality and have a little adventure.
The video above is the short version of how we ended up on a 36-foot sailboat in the Pacific Northwest. We have so many exciting plans for the future of Life at Six Knots. This spring we will be rebedding some of the hardware on our decks (a project we intend to share with all of you!), sailing to the San Juans in late summer and experimenting with our new WonderBag (wondering what a WonderBag is? Stay tuned!).

Everything we post on Youtube is completely free, and we are so thrilled that you’ve chosen to join us on this adventure! But if you’d like to take an active role in making Life at Six Knots amazing, your generous support will go toward mooring fees, boat maintenance, doggie baths (so Katie is always camera ready!), food, water and keeping the coffee canister full. Your contribution will enable us to live the life of our dreams and share it with you.

Love,
Jim, Steph and Katie the Boat Dog

We have very old push style breakers which are failing and need to be replaced. In lieu of how much these panels cost, we want to build our own. Plexiglass/Lexan and breakers so we can start building a safer and better breaker panel.
