What is haiku?
The haiku is short but intrinsic. As a haiku poet, you connect with nature and become attuned to the change of the seasons. As seasons change, we change. Each haiku is a way to connect with the natural order and find ways to find peace admit emotional storms that might come our way.

What is the troubadour?
Poetry and music have been for a long time intrinsically connected. Troubadours composed songs and wrote poems mindful of the metrical form. During the process of creating sound poems, I compose instrumental music that doesn't end up becoming a sound poem.

An ode is a poem normally accompanied with music and can even be sung. An ode normally praises or describes nature both emotionally and intellectually. For me, a cinematic ode is the fusion of a textual with the acoustic and visual which can be captured best in film.

- I write a lot about the natural world, such as plants or stars, but
- I also write about love (agapism) and truth;
- from the concrete to the abstract, I play with these elements
- to convey broadly a sense of the sacred, the philosophical, and the poetic.
