About Liquid Architecture

Liquid Architecture is a millennial child of experimental sound culture. Founded by students at RMIT in 1999, we grew from a local event to Australia’s leading forum for sonic art. Twenty years on – with multiple lives as a festival, tour, curatorial platform, and publisher – Liquid Architecture is now established and internationally regarded as a rigorous, imaginative, and fiercely experimental contemporary art organisation.

Disclaimer is Liquid Architecture’s online journal for new thinking and writing on listening and sound, and together with our weekly podcast, constitutes our publishing activities. Our experimental approach to digital publishing incorporates works by artists, writers, researchers in ways that entangle and enrich both the content and the experience of reading, listening and viewing.

Financial support from patrons at any level has a resounding impact on our work. Our Patreon allows supporters to contribute sustainably to Liquid Architecture’s activities. Monthly subscriptions support new thinking and writing on sound and listening, distributed across our journal, our podcast and more.

Subscribers of $10/month or more will receive Blueprints of Temporal Infestments 2021–2022, a limited edition of 100 calendar print, that features remixed artworks by artists Chino Amobi, Mohamed Chamas with Daniel R Marks, Bridget Chappell, Ceri Hann, Amy Parker, MSHR, Snack Syndicate, Amy May Stuart and more. Published by Liquid Architecture and Product/ion Distribution Facility.

Our collective scheduling is infestment. Let us examine how time is administered and expanded through spatialisation and dis/embodiment. Celebrate the new financial year with us in our increasing organisational precarity through this fundraising initiative.

Put your money where your ears are.
