THE GOALS OF THE LIRA ENSEMBLE ARE:

• to perform magnificent Polish and Polish-American musical masterpieces in the United States – classical, sacred, ancient, contemporary, popular, and, of course, folk!
• to present Polish music and dance rarely heard of seen on this side of the Atlantic.
• to help build bridges of understanding between various American racial and ethnic groups by producing cross-cultural concerts.
• to enhance the treasury of Polish-American culture by commissioning new compositions, arrangements and choreography from Polish-American and American composers and choreographers – especially Lira’s unique bi-lingual creations.
• to offer employment and performance opportunities to talented young professional artists.
• to promote and advance the careers of performing artists of all kinds.
