Hi there

I'm a reformed spatial designer living in Ireland with my husband and two kids. I've always tried to live as sustainably as possible but until recently didn't fully understood what that meant. It was in 2016 when I started blogging about sustainable living, and then soon after my journey to Zero Waste living, that I really started to research how best to live sustainably, on a budget, in Ireland.

It took a long, long, long time for me to cut through all the misinformation and greenwashing and find the authentic companies and organisations that can genuinely help us live a beautiful, sustainable, compassionate life. I wanted to share what I learned and to save others from spending all the hours I did researching and evaluating the data. After all the easier sustainable living is the more people will do it.

I've decided not to do any sponsored posts, competitions or brand collaborations as I believe this will make me biased in what I do. Maybe this is naive but integrity is very important to me and I don't feel comfortable with the idea that someone has paid me to access the eyes of my readers.

Currently I look after my kids and am in the process of starting up a Zero Waste homeware business, selling pre-loved and upcycled home, locally. Eventually I would love it to become a self-sustaining social enterprise that can offer opportunities for people emerging from poverty and hardship. I'm also blogging, every two weeks, and posting information on sustainable living to my social media feeds. Being supported through Patreon helps me continue this work so even if it's just €1 / £1  / $ 1 know that any donation is incredibly appreciated.

Thanks
Elaine
