What is Patreon?

Patreon is a way for fans to support creators who's work they enjoy, so that these creators than continue to do what they do. It's a purely voluntary patronage, where you decide exactly how much you want to contribute towards your favorite artists, writers, musicians, and entertainers.

Why I'm using Patreon

Patreon will give me the flexibility and freedom to dedicate far more of my time towards not only the reboot of my old webcomic "Broken Plot Device" (which ran for 4 years until I was forced to put it on hold in 2012), but also explore other projects and ideas I've had to put on the back-burner.  My main hinderance has been time and money; I spend so much time doing commission work - drawing for one or a few people - in order to make ends meet that I have no time to spend on comics.  Patreon will, with your help, allow me to reboot BPD as long-form, self-contained stories that not only can everyone enjoy, but keep them free so I don't have to hide behind a paywall.  

How does it work?

I've set my Patreon campaign to charge patrons every month.  You set the amount you will pay to any amount you wish. Along side I will be doing periodic Patreon-supported streams at https://beam.pro/Lizardbeth, which will in turn fund the posting of new content, including art, comics, videos, blogs and more, to Lizzie-Bean.com.  The streams will be free (as in everyone, not just Patreon supporters, can come and watch), as will everything that gets posted to the site.
