Hi! I'm a writer and game developer that writes mostly queer or diverse fiction. I've ran a successful kickstarter campaign for an diverse LGBTQ+ inclusive Visual Novel called Talk to Me, I published a M/M Lit Fic book called The Whole Trying Thing with Ninestar Press, an LGBTQA publisher and I'm currently assistant producer and script editor on Hexer, an LGBTQ+ inclusive comedy drama. I also have a book coming out with DSP Publications this year and I'm working on a multitude of other things. I've published other things, which you can read about on my website or on Goodreads.

If you know much about writing, then you'll know that it's not the most profitable business until you achieve a certain level of notoriety and commercial success. I don't make that much money off of my work, because it's so niche. Even inside the niche it belongs in, it's much smaller than that. That's fine -- I never expected my incredibly niche work to become a huge seller, because that's not what the work is for.

But it's certainly not enough to live off of.

I personally think (and I'm lucky that many people seem to think the same thing!) that the work I'm doing is important, which is the reason I don't want to stop doing it. I know that the impact I've made so far is minimal compared to what I can do, but it's not feasible for me to have crowdfunding campaigns every time I want to make something happen, considering that they don't cover my living expenses. Recently, my position at a start-up ended and I have had to take contract work incessantly, to the point where I'm both creatively exhausted and struggling to get any work done at all.

I want to continue creating content, but at the rate things are going, that goal will simply become unsustainable.

I don't want to abandon writing or game development, certainly not when I'm creating stuff that I feel resonates with people. That's the main reason I have created this Patreon -- to allow me to continue writing and creating meaningful content.

If you can even spare just one dollar a month and share this Patreon with your friends, you'd be making a world of difference.

With this amount of money, I should be able to dedicate more time to writing my own stories every month instead of having to take on contract work. That means that I'll be able to get things done more quickly, including short stories and novels that some of you already know I'm working on.
