Make smut. Not art.

It’s a good word, right? Smut. We like its history of confounding the close-minded and being an affront to the enlightened. Art accomplished this for a long time. Historically, art has often been smut’s synonym. But today we think art’s accessibility, for creator and consumer, is inhibiting.

So do we create art? Sure we do, but why do we have to call it that? We wanted a different descriptor. Something inclusive. Something expansive. Smut.

Medium is dead.

We don’t relate to the classification of artist. So we call ourselves creators.

The term artist is too limiting. We just want to create cool shit. We want to write, record, and perform.

Creating is how we reconcile the beauty and the bullshit. And we want to share it with others.

You’ll never have to pay up front for lo-class content that’s released digitally. We don’t think content should have a pay barrier. Barriers are exclusive. And we believe creation should be an inclusive process. If you like what you get here, though, we’re always accepting contributions. Pay what you can. When you can. And you’ll help keep lo-class up and running.

But we think you can contribute in other ways as well. Share our content on your own social media channels or join The Swarm by subscribing to our E-mail list. Your continued interest keeps us going too.

If time is money, then the transitive property would dictate that money is time.  Right?  We're not great at math, that's why we became creatives.  The point is, each donation provides us more freedom to create, and we want to use that freedom to give back.  When we reach 100 patrons, we will double the number of patron exclusive podcast episodes we release in 2019 to 20.  Any donation helps--and even the base donation tier gets you access to the patron-only podcast feed!
