Hi there! I'm foosharp (Leo), the creator of LoL Ascension. Together with tlovd (Adrian) I've been working on this comic for the past 3 years.


What exactly is LoL Ascension?

LoL Ascension is a webcomic based on the lore of the video game League of Legends. There is no need to have played the game to understand the comic, though being familiar with parts of the lore will allow you to catch the odd reference or two you otherwise might miss.

The comic focuses on the eponymous institution of the game, the League of Legends. While the League's founding has ushered in an era of peace, behind its shiny facade lies a web of intrigues and deceit. The founder of the League disappears without a trace, setting in motion a series of events that threaten to destroy the fragile balance he managed to establish. Five years later three bright-eyed young mages begin their training at the Institute of War, eager to learn ...

So, what's the deal with Patreon?

We love working on this project, but we cannot afford to spend as much time as we would like on it. This is where you come in.

During our recent trial run we tested whether we'd be able to produce pages on a weekly basis and we feel the results show that we're up to the task. With your support on Patreon we can continue this release schedule and focus on bringing you more and higher quality chapters.


Stretch goals

Our first four stretch goals support the amount of pages we can release per month. All rewards for donating are given out monthly (illustrations etc.) or are available for as long as you are donating (early access to pages etc).


The project so far

Making comics has always been a passion for me. Ever since I was a little kid I would draw and write comics for my friends and myself. LoLAscension is the first major collaboration for me. I wrote the original draft of the story almost 4 years ago, when I was trying to create a longer story in the fascinating, but sorely underused universe of League of Legends.

I knew that my shady drawing skills wouldn't be up to the task and set out to look for an illustrator, whom I found with tlovd. We share our passion for comics and League of Legends and are invested into bringing you the best comic we can, finishing what we started 3 years ago.

Our initial chapter releases were quite irregular, an entire year passed between the first and second chapter. Since then, we have been working hard at decreasing the intervals between page releases. In the past couple of months we did a trial run for a new release schedule. During that time we managed to release between 4-7 pages almost every week. With your support on Patreon, I hope that we can continue to deliver new pages on a regular basis.
