So I get that everyone is trying to figure out how to navigate fair compensation for creative work in the digital age. And rather than relying solely on the online busking model, I’m looking for Sugar Fans (yep, came up with that a couple years ago – all by myself – pretty proud of it). Or if Sugar Fan sounds too sleazy, you could think of yourself as a Mini-factor (you know, like benefactor, but smaller – also clever, right?).

That’s where Patreon comes in. If you dig the ongoing work I’m doing, you can actually pledge what you think it’s worth to you in order to ensure that I’ll be able to keep on doing it. This is not like Kickstarter with the one big pledge for one big project; it’s a (smaller) recurring pledge to help facilitate an ongoing project. So if you’re like, “Holy Shit, these online videos make the past version of Dennis Miller look like the present version of Dennis Miller,” then you can sign up to throw a buck in my digital hat every time a new one comes out. Or as I like to call it, “dollar at ya boy” (I’m so sorry, I really can’t help myself).

So check out the videos and consider contributing to every artist’s dream of three square meals a day. The more people do this, the easier it is for me to put out more (and better technical quality) work. Not to mention, you can help support an alternative economic model in the process.

So let’s get down to it:
- You pledge per creation (in this case, per video).
- My initial plan is to release between 2 and 4 videos a month.
- You can cancel or adjust your pledge for any reason at any time.
- You can also set a monthly maximum to meet your budget (if it’s between eating and my videos, go ahead and eat).
- Aaaaaand, there’s rewards.
