Who are Lords of the Trident? Their metal’s so pure that only diamonds can scratch it, and usually the diamonds are the ones that end up getting hurt in the end. Their amps are so loud, Manowar knocked on their door and asked them to “please turn down”. If you like battle, bloodshed, axes, fire, and losing limbs, then mosh your way to the front row and receive your free ticket to Valhalla. If you don’t like these things – too bad. They’re playing anyway, and they’ll make sure to steal your girlfriend in the process.

Lords of the Trident has been creating original Heavy Metal music and videos since 2008. Along our path of metal conquest, we've released 5 full-length albums and 3 EPs, along with numerous music videos, official bootlegs, tour logs, and live performance videos. We also write a monthly DIY video blog called Words of Fang, aimed at helping other bands become successful. We'd love nothing more than to be able to give our fans more music, more videos, and tour longer distances.

It's no secret that the music business has drastically changed over the past 20 years. Signing to a major label now means giving up almost all of the rights to your songs, and receiving fractions of a penny for all of your hard work. There’s also the very real possibility of losing creative control over your music. Since someone else is paying the bills, someone else gets to say what kind of songs you record.

However, this also means that due to monthly-donation services like Patreon, there's the possibility of cutting out the middle-man entirely, and putting the band - and the fans - back in Complete Control of the music. (lol see what I did there?)

Why are you doing a Patreon?

Over the years, we've been able to accomplish a lot on our own. We have no booking agent, no manager, no flyer designer, no videographer, no t-shirt printer - we do all of this ourselves!

While we continue to DIY as much as we can, not having a steady source of income also means that if our tour van breaks down, tour’s over. If the money vault is empty, we can’t start mixing the next album. And if we can’t borrow the cameras we need to produce the next video, somebody’s gotta buy a ski mask and break into Best Buy (again).

We want to continue to make Lords bigger and better - more music, more videos, and more shows. With your support through this patreon, we can do just that!

What if I don't want to/can't donate?

Look, we know crowdfunding is not for everyone, and that’s totally ok. Some of you would much rather support us by buying a shirt or CD, or coming to see us live, and again, that’s totally cool. Whether or not you donate to this patreon, we’re still going to keep making the music we love, and we’re still going to continue to blow things up in our music videos. But if you want to help us take it to the next level, this is your chance.
