Paula Allison

is creating Books chapter by chapter, along with Poetry and Photography
Hello!
Many of you know me from our Facebook page, S/V Neverland, and my blog, www.searching4stsomewhere.com.

Many may not know that while Robert Whitaker and I retired from our sales careers to sail around the oceans and share it all with you, my goal is to become a professional writer.
I have wanted to be a writer since I was around 12 years old, but life had other ideas.
I raised three wonderful kids, who I am so proud of, and I worked, hard, for over 40 years.
The call of the ocean and the call to put pen to paper and weave wondrous tales, have pulled at me for practically my entire life.
Now I am a writer...by the sea! Dreams do come true!
I decided to use Patreon to present my first two books, and present them chapter by chapter, instead of as a finished product. One will be the actual story of our sailing misadventure, our shipwreck, our rescue by the Mexican Navy, and the people and beauty of the Yucatan, and the other is a fiction book that began as a short story for a contest and then took on a life of it's own.
Patrons will get the chance to follow and participate in the entire creative process, have some input as to the fictional  character's fate, as well as have access to extra, early, and special content such as poetry and photography.
I chose Patreon as my vehicle because it will let me interact with my fans throughout the writing process, will create ongoing income so that I can afford to keep traveling and writing and not have to go back to a cubicle to die, and because impatient readers will not have to wait until the entire book is written to enjoy it and give feedback.
So many of you have supported my blog, which I will continue to write, as well. Thank you!
I hope, as I move to the next creative level, that you will come along with me, and enjoy the ride.
May this be the beginning of a long relationship between writer and readers.
