More poetry! And more love!
I believe in this: That we all have gifts. And that our gifts matter. Not when they’re hidden away, safely wrapped in the old stories of our insignificance. But when they get up in the morning and greet the sunrise. When we take some stumbling steps towards them, embracing what we deep inside know is ours, and only ours, to do. And to be.
When we feel our trembling knees and we do it anyway. Together.
I write poetry. And then I share it with you. I perform it on stage.
Publish it. Record it. Whisper it in the woods.
But more, as well as I can, I try to live it.
And, like you, I have this life. Two small boys. A woman I adore. I’ve had jobs, all sorts of jobs, but I don’t really believe in them anymore. I believe in gifts. And I believe that the sharing of our gifts, the act of living them out in our rugged, beautiful lives, turns out to be the most revolutionary thing in this world, right here and right now.
Now, this is me asking you for support. To hold me, like I, in my ways, hold you. I am on it now, sharing my gifts, and I have only just begun – but I refuse to make it into a business plan, a strategy with goals as narrow as only a mind could make.
What I hold space for is this: A creative, trusting, flowing relationship with you – and everyone else who feel called to join this circle of human beings around the fire.
My promise is that I will share it all with you. The books, the albums, the videos. The performances. The poems. The Instagram and Facebook posts, the conversations, the stories, the confusion, the fear, the breakthroughs, the joy! With your support, I can write more, share more, publish and travel more. With your support I can offer my gifts of poetry and love, and in doing so, perhaps inspire you to do the same.
Poetry and love. More poetry, and more love.
Thank you for your support!
And thank you for being you.

No REWARDS. No GOALS. But lots of GIFTS.
What if we talk about gifts, instead of rewards? Flow, instead of goals? Patreon emphasizes rewards and goals. I understand why, but wish to go a different way, and invite you to go there with me.
My goal is to make art. To be art. To share it with you, yes, even create it with you! My goal is to support my family, my children. My goal is to trust life, to give what I have to give, while receiving what you have for me in return, like breathing in and breathing out. It doesn’t always work like this, in this world we know. But this, for me, is also a step into the unknown. Will you join me?

There is, of course, a very concrete aspect to this, too: I ask for you to be my patron, to help fund my work with a sum of money per month. Your support, in every form, is needed, and will be received with respect, gratitude and a beating heart. In return, I offer you my art — my life, so to speak.
As a new patron, whether you support me with 1$, 3$, 5$, 10$, 50$, 100$ or 1000$ a month, you will receive a signed copy of my latest book in your mailbox (make sure I have your address!). Whatever I release, you will get it first. I will be honoured to gift you my art, to invite you to my performances, to explore this crazy, beautiful thing we call life with you.
Let us do this.
Thank you for reading, for your support. For your heart.
