I'm Desmond Lua, started writing short programming tutorials and snippets (Android/Kotlin, Python, Vue.js, etc.) on Lua Software Code since July 2017.

The blog started as my code reference/repo to document things I just learned, or things I kept forgetting. I usually wrote the code for an actual app, after which I document the learning and implementation process with practical notes and caveats (what didn’t work, common errors, etc.). I probably use the tech for the first time, so the learning process is still fresh and suited to create a practical guide for newbies. I write in short and concise point form, so the content is quick to read and great as reference.

As of April 2019, the blog serves 49,624 visitors per month. I write about 20-60 short tutorials, howtos and code snippets per month for the past 2 years. Nothing too long or in-depth, with more emphasis on common problems encountered by programmers on a daily basis (based on my own experience). I guess the content is helpful in reduction of learning and research time.

If you find my articles helpful, do support my work and help to keep the blog ad-free. All content shall be free and accessible to the public, as it should be. Your encouragement will motivate me to continue to create more useful content. Hopefully, our effort will help programmers to have a more pleasant learning and coding experience.
