Now, in addition to Ship in a Bottle and Peppermint Saga, did you know I am also the guy behind Starship Moonhawk and The Lavenders? I know, sometimes I forget too, it's been so long since they updated on the regular. At this tier, I can rent my sanctum sanctorum and get some real work done. I plan to get a small office somewhere and produce more work across all of these projects. I have big plans for audiobooks, animated shows, new comics, maybe even the R-18 spinoff of Starship Moonhawk: Marshal Dillon MacKenzie. The sky truly is the limit.

I created Ship in a Bottle back in December of 2008 and brought it to the web with some help in September of 2009. Since then, a number of folks have tried to help us out until we found the amazing artist, Prettío from Spain, and all of a sudden things finally fell into place. Her art was (and is!) amazing, and fit the theme so perfectly. Sadly, I ran out of funding and could not keep her around and the comic ground to a halt in late 2013. Around that time, though, we began a new site called "Frilly Pink", and Prettío has been working with us, tirelessly to try and bring her amazing original comic Mocaccino Gang to our site month after month.


Long story short: we talked it over, and it is LONG past time to re-launch Ship in a Bottle, with fresh art and a updated story. Plus, we want to bring the smut levels up to the caliber you've come to expect from he later chapters of the comic. With that idea in mind, we've come up with some monthly goals in order to cover the expensive of hiring this incredible talent full-time. We will start out with single updates each week, and try to nudge that ever closer to the maximum of THREE times a week, plus pinups, sketches, holiday themed hootenanny and as much behind-the-scenes tomfoolery as you can shake your dingy at! (some of those metaphors don't make sense. Just go with it!)

That's where you all come in.

UPDATE: Since times are rough, and I'm only working one job again, I need you to put me to work! In addition to the amazing work we are producing on Ship in a Bottle, I am bringing back for your viewing pleasure PEPPERMINT SAGA! We now have amazing new rewards and tiers so I may start producing BOTH of these amazing smutty comics on a regular basis. Plus, get us into the stratosphere, and I will add a SIXTH update every week in the form of my off-the-rails Pep Saga AU Cameo Comic, Peppermint Saga: Blue-Gray Rhapsody and get a chance to have YOUR CHARACTER featured in a future episode! Just Another Face in the Crowd - At this level, you naturally get all lower tier rewards, but for the low, low price of $40 (non-recurring), you can have your character featured in the crowd in Ship in a Bottle, or one of the currently updating comics by "Mace Paladino" (Peppermint Saga and Peppermint Saga: Blue-Gray Rhapsody where applicable). They will have no dialog, and no direct influence on the story. But you still get the cool opportunity to have your Original Character featured in our series! (by bidding at this tier, you are accepting an exclusive agreement to "license" your character's image to us in this single context indefinitely. See Notes About Rewards section below for more information.)

NON-RECURRING: CAMEO - You may have read that my comic Peppermint Saga: Blue-Gray Rhapsody is an "AU cameo comic" in some of my other ramblings. Well, this is your chance: if you donate at this tier, we will put your alter-ego in a future episode of PS:BGR. This can be either as a background (prominent) "photobomb", or as the guest star (read: sexual conquest). Appearance will be sometime after Episode 7: "Gettin' It Cumming and Going". LIMIT TWO SLOTS

Some Notes About Rewards:

  • As a result of some non-payment, we now have a 1-strike-you're-out policy. Patrons who do not contact me after a single month of non-payment will be deleted.
  • $1 Rewards will be available in the CREATIONS section
  • $5 rewards have been modified. Since the Member Area is very difficult to maintain separately from this page, and required everyone to jump through a lot of hoops, I'm removing it as a reward. Those who have access to it, will keep it, as well as benefitting from the newly expanded $5 tier rewards, including now you get to see early previews of the Ship in a Bottle page sketches and BGR as well.
  • $10 reward tier is the same as the $5 tier, advance reading on BGR, and a few other yet-to-be-determined perks.
  • $15 tier originally started as a non-recurring tier where you may obtain a high resolution PDF version of "The Genie Handbook". That has been discontinued. However, as an added incentive to stay, you can now join us on Skype after our Wednesday at 11PM Eastern podcast for a weekly "Q&A" session and interrogate me about my art and the future of Ship in a Bottle, Peppermint Saga or Whatever! So there is no longer a reason to "step down" to a lower tier. At this level and above, we look forward to speaking with you.   • Note: those promised a copy of the Genie Handbook will still get it, but I am revamping it. It is now a "stretch goal" to have Prettío re-draw it if the Indiegogo reaches $1300, even in the "InDemand" phase.
  • Which leads us to the $25 tier: a high resolution image (plus the Members Area at Ship in a Bottle and Creations Area access) and, what the hell, I'll even throw in a digital PDF of "The Genie Handbook" for your first month of patronage (after payment is received at the end of the first month).
  • All tiers involving the loan of "Original Characters" (henceforth known as "OC's") agree to a limited and exclusive licensing agreement to allow us to republish the pages featuring their characters in various alternative media, indefinitely, such as, but not limited to print and digital redistribution of the comic series "Ship in a Bottle" (and other comics published by "Mace Paladino" where the "OC's" are featured). No royalties will be paid for the use of said "OC's" now, or at any future date. This agreement is designed to protect "Mace Paladino" (Michael C. Prokop), his partners, employees and affiliates from indemnity resulting from Intellectual Property disputes. The licensing terms refer exclusively to the use of aforementioned "OC's" in the agreed context of the "Ship in a Bottle" and "Peppermint Saga" et al webcomics and various republications of said same comics. No other use of the "OC's" is allowed or implied in our advertising or other media except where appropriate for referential or review purposes.
  • Once I get my tablet PC up and running properly, Patrons at all tiers will also gain first-access to my Livestream to watch as I color pages and pinups. (I don't draw on Livestream because I do all of my illustration work on paper. Sorry, guys. ^^; ) ADDENDUM: I am experimenting with digital illustration. If I can make the stream stable, you get to see me work on that when applicable.
  • NON-RECURRING rewards will not count toward higher milestones. This is because they are non-recurring payments for very special rewards. I don't want to be caught in the unenviable position of having to do 12 pages of Ship in a Bottle one month AND ALSO 10 pages of Peppermint Saga: Blue-Gray Rhapsody as well as 8 pages of Peppermint Saga, only to quit the following month because we drop back to $150. That seems by and large unfair because the artists I employ count on a somewhat regular schedule. This rule is trying to take fairness into account. If you disagree, I am open to comments and ideas.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: we prefer reach our goals "organically", meaning that it should be through regular patronage. I'm somewhat reluctant to commission updates of someone were to, say, push a "blaze of glory" donation through. If we don't maintain the milestone month after month, I won't be able to commission the comic, and then everybody loses. So please donate wisely. That said, we won't refuse your money. Just wanted to put that out there so everyone is clear.
