Uploading videos to YouTube started off out of curiosity. It was a place where I could store my videos to watch them from anywhere I had Internet access. And I would save storage space on my computer as well. Then I discovered monetization, where I could earn money from my videos. I discovered that some people are making a living on YouTube. But I work for "the Man". And I'm sick of it. In 20+ years I've lost my job 4 times. 3 times laid off due to "downsizing", and 1 time due to my contract not being renewed. One time it took me 8 months to find a new job. And during these periods of unemployment, I was hit hard financially. The last two times, I was on the brink of losing everything that I had worked for my entire life (which isn't that much). Did I get any government assistance? Not one dime.

I just experienced my fourth job loss. And unlike before, I have no credit to carry me until the next job. On top of that, my girlfriend is coming from overseas to get married. I need to find a way to support her in case I don't find a job soon.

I would love to not have to work for "the Man" and make videos for the rest of my life. But I would need at least 5000/month after taxes to do that. Until I get there, I'll have to work for corporate America. But in the mean time, I'll continue to make videos with your help. Thank you.
