About twenty years ago, I started a website called Mothers with Attitude, designed to offer humor and help for parents of kids with special needs. It was named a USA Today Hot Site and a Good Housekeeping Site of the Day, and it got me a much higher-profile gig writing about parenting children with special needs for About-com.

In the years I spent doing that (and writing the books 50 Ways to Support Your Child's Special Education and The Everything Parents Guide to Sensory Processing Disorder), Mothers with Attitude languished. Now, I'd like your help in making it a useful resource once again. A large amount of what I wrote for About is no longer online, and I'd like to give it a home. And now that my kids are twentysomethings, I have a lot of new topics that I'd like to look into and find solutions for.

Your support will help me afford web hosting for the site (freeing it from its temporary Blogspot home) as well as the time and attention needed to get it up, running, and growing. In return, you'll get thanks on the site itself, alerts on all new material added, and exclusive roundups of articles and information around the Web for parents of kids with disabilities. Please help me build the kind of resource you've been looking for.
