Mesi Anpil! (Thank you) for stopping by! Vodou (not voodoo) is the national religion of Haiti. I am a Mambo Asogwe, the rank of service, and I want to share my journey in this amazing faith with all of you! I initiated in Jacmel, Haiti in January 2003. I came back home, raised Sosyete du Marche, Inc. as a 501c3 charity, and began serving the community both in Philadelphia and Haiti. We return to Haiti annually, visit and donate time to a variety of folks like the Pazapa orphanage (we did speech therapy projects for their new center in Jacmel.)

We serve locally here in Philly by knitting for NICQs units and cancer wards. We adopt highways for clean up, and donate to various veteran organizations. We annually adopt a military unit and send them holiday packages. We involve ourselves locally where we can, whenever we can. We try to think global and act local.

Patreon is a new venture for me to earn a bit of income. I am an unpaid priest, so I am looking toward Patreon helping to offset my time and efforts in service to the community. The SdM, Inc. web site was being horribly plagiarized, and so I've taken it down, save for a splash page directing people to my place here on Patreon.  This is where you will find my Public offerings such as the public blog, monthly essays on the Spirits, and current updates on my work as an artist and mambo.

My Patreon offerings will include discounts on current works of art, previews of my current writing projects (Vodou herbal book, the Vodou tarot deck, and the Fa book, all forthcoming.) I will also be hosting the Four Circles classes here on Patreon. They will be updated, with a Video Q&A, live feed teachings and much more.  And I will share my journey as a Mambo Asogwe, as I find new ways of serving the Lwas. The Spirit lays its hand wherever its image is - be it through art, music, writing or speaking. Service to the Lwa is a dynamic exercise. It has been my life's calling to serve the Lwa. Now, I invite you to come on my journey, as I walk with Spirit and you!

Goals
6% complete
When I reach $500.00, I'll put 10% of that into the Sosyete du Marche Inc.'s coffers, to help me offset the expense of projects and services that I give to the community. Project expenses such as yarn, fabric and thread for my NICQ blankets and hats; socks, DVDs and personal hygiene essentials for my military packages.  Service expenses such as gas, tolls and meals on the road for me when I go out to do things like roadway clean ups, host Coffee and a Cop meet and greets, to help inform the community about what Vodou is (or is not!). If I make more than $500, then 10% of whatever will go toward these stated goals.
