You get the previous stuff, but now you're immortalized in the credits of the game review videos! There are no official tiers beyond this, but the top few wealthy princes will get credited as "producers".

NOTE: If you pledge right before an upload you might've missed the window where I process the credits file for the video, though this is the very last thing I do before upload. You'll show up in the next.

About MandaloreGaming

Hey, I'm Mandalore! I make videos about games. Honestly if you're here I'm gonna guess you're already familiar with who I am and what I do so I'll keep it brief. If not, check out the videos I have linked or at MandaloreGaming on YouTube and those can explain better than a blurb can.

My shtick is doing videos on games I find interesting, are forgotten, or have been suggested from viewers. I've been making videos for a while now and I'd like to be able to put more time into it, but as the saying goes "time is money" and my current schedule has made it harder to make videos at a pace I'm content with and with a sleep schedule that keeps me sane. I've had people ask about opening viewer funding, and after spending a long time mulling it over I've hammered out this page with three key intentions. The video linked on this page will explain finer details, but in the case you've stumbled here from elsewhere I'll give you a quick rundown.

1) To have the ability to make videos at a reasonable pace and stay somewhat alive doing it.
I don't have extravagant tier rewards where I'd need to make exclusive content. Sorry if you wanted that, but I'd rather work on stuff everyone gets to see. The site favorite "suggest future content" reward is something I've always had open to the public and I have no intention to paywall it off. If I'm really undecided on projects I've narrowed down I'll run polls here, but to suggest a game for The List™ is a universal human right (as long as you have email). I already need to take a lot of time to respond to viewer mail, and adding really time consuming custom prizes on top of it would be more detrimental to recording/editing time than helpful. I do have perks like access to the update feed of progress/scrapped materials, question submissions for the videos, or your name credited in the review videos, but I won't be making secret exclusive reviews for oil barons anytime soon!

2) To not support Patreon Vampirism, which is the dark practice of those who suck the money-blood out of your wallets and then go sleep in their coffins while keeping you in the dark for months.
Basically this means disclosure of what I'm up to with project updates and anything I'm planning long term. I'm thinking weekly text posts would be best, but this can be adjusted depending on feedback. This way if extraordinary circumstances pop up I can keep people informed. I've tried to do this to a degree with Twitter, but I can go into more detail here comparatively. The page is set to "per month" rather than "per video" because I can go from working on a longer video for a few months as a project to doing 2-3 in that time depending on what people are suggesting. This is the more economic option, plus there's no risk of being tempted to shove an unfinished video out for a check.

3) To not have the review format wildly change due to funding.
I have no plans for talking about newly released movies in front of green screens with strangers you hate or hiring entire camera crews for live action reviews. I've seen people think that having viewer funding means they have to drastically change their videos to reflect it, which isn't what people were paying to support in the first place. I also don't want to be endorsing trashy mobile games or other sponsored products that I despise and wouldn't use myself. Money helps to improve the videos in ways like consulting audio engineers, captions/translations for multiple languages, better parts and equipment to make production easier, fun bits here and there, and other background improvements. That's the priority after the whole "staying somewhat alive" part.

In any case, if you've read this far thanks for your time!  I really appreciate those of you giving me money to do this and you have my eternal gratitude but don't feel compelled to if you're strapped for cash. Just enjoy the videos!
Goals
$3,500 - reached! per month
This number means most of my "being alive and with internet" obligations are completely fulfilled by Patreon alone. I'm not sure I'll ever hit this, but this would be ideal since I could easily justify working on videos as a main focus. Like the other goal, lots of "in between stuff" happens between 1500 and here. Making a nice, real recording space (maybe even a desk that can fit TWO monitors for the first time!), being able to put people to work on background improvements, hard drives and other PC parts, and importing increasingly exotic and possibly cursed games.
