Milestone Goals
Bills getting paid!
At this level, Mary's Test Kitchen can stay on track. You'll be able to expect videos 3 times a week, at a specific time, and on schedule each week. Keeping in mind that after fees and other stuff to do with using Patreon, I'll be receiving an estimated 70-75% of this amount, I will be able to pay my basic bills (except rent) and pay for the ingredients in the videos and to test new recipes.
Sustainability
At this level, Mary's Test Kitchen can become more than just a few videos a week and I can focus solely on developing videos and other content in order to inspire people to go vegan and to make that vegan transition as smooth as possible. This includes more delicious recipes every week, how-to guides and group coaching. As this develops, Mary's Test Kitchen will be more than just about food. Instead, my goal is to help vegans, new and experienced, vegetarians and the veg-curious with guidance on living sustainably and staying positive and effective in our non-vegan world. The ultimate goal, of course, is to end animal exploitation.
Keeping in mind that after fees and other stuff to do with using Patreon, I'll be receiving an estimated 70-75% of this amount, I will be able pay my basic bills AND support the roof over my head.

Hey guys
Welcome to the Patreon page of Mary's Test Kitchen. I'm Mary; here's a bit about me if you don't know me already. And this is my vegan story (warning, it's a bit of a long read).
What I Do
Every week, I try to post 3 videos to help people realize that vegan food can be delicious, wholesome, and easy. I post vegan book reviews on Mondays, Vegan meal ideas and short recipes on Wednesdays, and new easy vegan recipe tutorial videos on Fridays.
The number one response I get to the idea of veganism is that it's too hard. People think it's too difficult, too expensive, and too complicated. I want to shatter that belief.
The vegan YouTube community has lots of cooking channels; what makes this one different? My focus is on recipes that are accessible to all, that are easy to make, don't require special equipment or fancy ingredients, and are delicious.
Why I need your help
Right now, Mary's Test Kitchen is a labour of love that takes between 30 to 50+ hours a week to maintain. While I do get some funding from the ad revenue on YouTube, it's doesn't cover much; not even the ingredients required to test and produce the recipe videos.
My dream is to take Mary's Test Kitchen full time so I can deliver high-quality content that actually matters. I want to create and present tools to help make choosing the compassionate option easy. This includes everyday food, but also what to do during holidays and other food-centric events. With your support, this can go beyond food and to other areas of veganism.
In the future, I will hold free group coaching for those who want to go vegan. This would managing closed groups on Facebook or Google+ (depending on where people want them) and providing more individualized guidance in order to help new transitioning vegans no matter where they are from, what limitations they may have, or circumstances they may be in. As the community grows, we can add mentors to build a supportive network.
Please consider contributing a small amount
I will never restrict access to my videos due to the inability to contribute financially. My work is about spreading the vegan message and tools to become vegan to everyone regardless of financial status. I believe in free, open content for everyone.
What will you get for becoming a patron?
Steady content, for one. Whenever you see a "late" video from me, it's because I had to focus on work that pays my bills. I would love to do animal advocacy and help fellow vegans full time but, unfortunately, I have felt the effects of not focusing enough on paying gigs.
You will also have my gratitude and a personal email from me. As time goes on, I may add on perks but my main focus is delivering content for everyone regardless of financial contribution.
What if you can't give?
I'm in that position myself when it comes to some of my favourite vegan advocates. Please know that I still appreciate every single one of you who watches my videos. You can help in other ways such as sharing the videos with your friends and family, resharing content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms. I always value your requests and suggestions as well.
