I am Ryan Francis and I make cool comics that make me laugh! I've been a cartoonist since childhood, aspiring to be one of those legendary comic artists like Jeff Smith, Dav Pilkey, or Akira Toriyama! I've dabbled in freelance artwork, animation, storyboarding, character design, t-shirt and book illustration.

I've decided that making comics would be a better use of my skills and I created my first comic, Shirley's Day, A short story about a typical girl with an untypical secret. Shirley's Day was my test to see if I could actually perform this undertaking. What started as a small idea for a short story that I thought I'd finish in a week , turned into a giant three year quest of learning, trying, failing, resetting and perfecting. It's imperfect but it's completed, and it's the spark that gave me the fire to continue making more comics!

Completing Shirley's Day changed my life in a way: it kicked me out of a personal art rut, it gave me more perspective on comic creators and their struggles, it gave me a reason to try my had at selling at Artist Alleys at comic conventions, and it gave me the courage to accept that I'm "good enough" at my art.

I continued making more comic stories, the most recent one being Incident at the Game Store, a short story adapted from a funny internet post!

This time, I want to put more effort into making something more original and personal to my influences and sense of humor!

This Patreon is to support my WIP webcomic which I currently call "Project: Blackmask" The premise of it is the story of a raccoon merchant named Cole Blackmask who goes around the world adventuring and treasure hunting for loot to sell at his family shop!

In his various adventures, he encounters weird and wonderful, heroes and villains and explore fantastical lands and encounter strange cultures!

I also do weekly art streams every Saturday for all the boys and girls!

At most, I only ask for a dollar. Your small contribution makes just as big of a difference as all the other contributions!

With this, you'll get access to my Patreon activity stream in which I will prioritize updating first before all other websites including my own!

In it, I will be posting my scripts, thumbnail art, and pencil art (including spoiler art) all before I post them to other places at the end of a story!

Pull List
$5 or more per month only 100 left

First dibs to pre-order a print and a PDF download of a comic issue before it's posted on my website and social media sites.

I have this tier as a test survey to figure out how many comics to get printed from Ka-Blam.

Trade Paperback Pre-Order
$10 or more per month only 50 left

Be the first to get a collected color trade of my comic and a PDF download of the collected trade.

I have this tier as a test survey to figure out how many books to get printed from Ka-Blam.
