About Matheatre

Matheatre uses live theatre to tell stories that inspire excitement about math and science.

History Science Theatre Podcast is a dramatized nonfiction serial that tells thrilling stories of discoveries, concepts and people from science history--in musical theatre form! Season One dramatizes the career of chemist and x-ray crystallographer Rosalind Franklin. From her work on coals and carbons to her crucial role in cracking the structure of DNA to her work that unlocked the molecular structure of viruses, Rosalind Franklin was one of the most important scientists of the 20th century. Find History Science Theatre PODCAST on Apple, Spotify, Google Podcasts...really anywhere you get your podcasts!

When we aren't working on our new podcast, we create live theatre. Our traditional stage shows have toured to schools, museums and theatres around the world. With the advent of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, we have adapted to create History Science Theatre LIVE, a repertoire of professionally interpreted characters from science history to tell stories over videoconferencing, and Science History Mysteries, an interactive text-based STEM adventure that brings live theatre to a whole new medium. Coming soon: Matheatre's Historically Inaccurate (But Scientifically Relevant) Comedy Show--a comedy web series that illustrates STEM concepts while riffing on the details of time and place.

Your patronage will primarily support the production of History Science Theatre podcast and general operations that allow us to continue creating engaging educational content that adapts to our quickly changing world.
