Hi, I'm Mattia, a non-binary artist-composer-performer based in Boston who's a great candidate for old-timey patronage. I would totally live in a castle, or a hut on some castle grounds, and write chamber and choral music for the lordydude paying the bills. But in lieu of that, I'd love to give you a peek into my studio for your monthly support. This is one of the few ways to see my drafts and process, because I'm a fairly private person.

What I Do: A Partial & Alphabetical List
Audio design, chamber musiccomposition, conducting, creative writing, dance, design, digital art, drawing, editing, filmgay stuff, grant writing, painting, performing, photography, physical crafts, piano, poetry, producing, singing, songwriting, standup, stop-motion, teaching, videos, violin, voice acting, volunteering, a webcomic (and don't worry, Donut Mouse is still around!)

I work part-time at Emerson College for those benefits, baby.

Art to Help People
"Within the bounds of space-time, how do you do so much?" My biggest projects and ideas are about helping people, especially kids. You could say that I literally care too much and work too hard. My childhood was rough, and I'm incredibly grateful for the ability and resources I have now. The more I have, the more art you'll squeeze out of me before I shuffle off (are this mortal coil and Buffalo the same in this instance?). And the extra goes into supporting my friends' and communities' art.

Patreon Goals:
Sharing more transparently, especially drafts. Feeling supported. Listening to you. Getting you in on the ground floor of what I can only assume will be a Great Glass Elevator-type situation. Covering some of my financial needs that my part-time job doesn't in a way I can expect and plan for. Making deeper one-on-one connections with people (by far my preferred form of social interaction).

Most Patreon artists don't even make minimum wage for their efforts, so I'm really trying to balance the “rewards.” If you have a different pledge or reward in mind, or want to help me in another way, please email me at [email protected].

Other Ways to Support Me:
  • Commission me
  • One-off donations on PayPal (email above), Venmo @MattiaM, or (Square)Cash App $mattiamauree. This gives me a gratitude burst. Sometimes people send me money when they misgender me...but you don't have to tell me that's why!
  • Feed me
  • Ticket to a show or event you think I should see
  • FREE: Sign up for my deeply infrequent newsletter: https://tinyletter.com/puffin
  • FREE: Share this Patreon and/or my other work with people who you think would like me!
  • FREE: Time, access, resources (like art supplies you're not using), introducing me to relevant connections, collaborations, trading services, encouragement

I Could See Everything...
$5 or more per month

You see the private Patreon posts and videos, including content I won’t post anywhere else!

...But I Wanted More...
$11 or more per month

Every six months I'll send you a hand-drawn/painted postcard -- if you let me know when your birthday is I'll aim for that!

...And After the First Letter...
$23 or more per month

Once per season I’ll send you a small piece of art. If you’d prefer music instead, I’ll recordsomething for you.

...I Called You...
$47 or more per month

I mean you're not paying me to be your friend. That would be weird. I would totally be your friend anyway! Monthly phone call where you can ask me questions and tell me stuff. Every season I’ll make you something based on your interests.

...And Now We Talk All the Time!
$89 or more per month only 2 left

Ooh, you’d be funding a monthly massage and my tissues would be deeply grateful. Monthly meet-up for beverage/foodif we're in the same city (or phone or video call). Every 2-3 months I’ll either make you something, or you can pick something I’ve posted. An extra dive into my studio with some super-secret drafts--you just have to promise not to share them even if they’re *totally mind-boggling.*

Goals
$30 of $300 per month
Covers food, utilities, and a bottle of gin. I will post more videos!
