Hi, I'm Max. I make comics.
And you can help me with that.

You may know my webcomic Conny Van Ehlsing, Monster Hunter, a weekly(ish) coming-of-age horror comic that I've often pitched as a blend of Buffy and the Peanuts. You can read it and other comics, cartoons, short stories and whatevers for free at my site. (German readers, just take it from here.)

I also write about comics and about making them in my blog. It's all in German, but I'm resharing a lot of it in English right here in my Patreon feed. (Look for the posts tagged 'the job' or 'the craft'.)

On top of all that, I'm currently working on:

  • The next season of Conny Van Ehlsing comics;
  • Two completely new long-form comics;
  • One or two ebooks based on my blog (depending on which days you ask);
  • Another book, but that's really on the back-burner.

Of course, all of that takes more time than even the most out-of-work freelancer can afford. Here's where you come in, my dear imaginary would-be patrons.

How it Works:
You log in to Patreon (obviously) and pledge to back my work with a monthly amount of your choosing. In return, you get all the content I release online (or at least the links because sometimes I do cool format-challenging stuff that you'll want to see there), sketches, draft pages, progress reports, blog posts, whatever I can push your way. On top of that, you get the ebook version of everything I release for free (well, you do pay, that's why it's Patreon) as soon as it's out! Print, too, depending on your pledge level. Look here for more rewards.

What's in it for me?
More than the money, I get the reassurance that you care enough about my work to see me through the production of it. And the more of you chime in, the more I get to do what I like best!

Thanks in advance!
A lot!

A custom feed with all my online content, as links or as inline art, along with exclusive commentary, occasional alternate versions and sketches and whatever I can think of that might enrich the experience. Plus, free ebooks whenever I publish something I can give away ebooks of.

All of the above, plus your own digital sketch or drawing upon signup. Also, optionally free print books, posters and post cards, signed and all, whenever I release something I can give away like that. (Free shipping within Europe, elsewhere... it depends.)

All of that, but you get your custom drawing as an original sketch on real paper! Also, free shipping on my free print products to anywhere on the planet (sorry, future Mars colonists - maybe later!) and maybe even the occasional extra art print via DeviantArt and the likes!
Goals
$9 of $1,000,000 per month
Cinematic Sensation!
At this very realistically-set level, I'll adapt one of my comics into a movie! (Probably not Conny Van Ehlsing, though. I'd want that one to look better than I can wing it at such a puny budget.) I'll put it up as a free stream for all my patrons, too.
You don't believe I will? Dare me!
