Meet the Ocean is a nonprofit podcast gathering the stories of scientists and ocean advocates (of all ages) around the world. We communicate the science of our planet's saltwater ecosystems in a curated and entertaining format to inspire a conservation mindset.

Hosted by polar expedition diver Paul North, and backed by a team of marine educators and creative minds, Meet the Ocean’s goal is to inform the public, inspire conservative action, and help change the culture of how we educate concerning the natural world.

Thank you to all those who support ocean education, and for helping our important programming reach as many people as possible!

Support Meet the Ocean's conservation efforts to receive this original art print of the Arctic's wondrous pinnipeds by English naturalist and artist Ian Bullock

Featuring the Walrus, Bearded Seal, Harp Seal, Hooded Seal, and Ringed Seal, Bullock's delicate attention to detail nearly brings these creatures to life.

With a heavy emphasis on the polar regions, Meet the Ocean reports frequently on conditions in the Arctic, gathering the stories and opinions of those who live there.

Southern Ocean Wildlife Chart
$500 or more per month 0 patrons
Whereas most choose the camera these days, biologist Ian Bullock relies on a more attentive engagement with the natural world.

Choosing to draw the creatures he studies, Bullock employs the methods of Darwin, emphasizing life's interconnectivity and precious balance. (Note: that's why he was the subject of MtO's first podcast!)

Expertly drawn on top of a nautical chart, this art print features the full continuum of creatures inhabiting the Southern Ocean's landscape.

From the birds in the air to the penguins in the sea, you will not find a more robust representation of wildlife in this region.

High Quality Art Print. Size made to order.

Podcast Episode of Your Choice
$1,000 or more per month 0 patrons
To our generous donors, we offer a special opportunity to have a Meet the Ocean podcast all to themselves.

Our team of marine educators labors long into the night to create educational content that inspires and entertains audiences of all ages. We interview ocean experts and advocates around the planet (including the polar regions) and package them into discernible, digestible morsels of high-quality immersive education.

We have amassed an ark of interviews, but to produce them all Meet the Ocean needs your help!

This first goal allows us to deliver 4 high quality educational podcasts every month, as we continue the march toward a sustainable production budget.

Our monthly episode releases will include:

1 Full-Length Podcast (30+ minutes)
2 Encounters episode(5-10 minute stories of ocean interactions)
1 Kids Talk episode (5-10)

Our aim is to empower science through storytelling. Check out our content: @meettheocean or Meet the Ocean Podcast
