mGBA is a modern Game Boy Advance emulator under active development. As such, there are many features still forthcoming, such as netplay, advanced debugging tools for ROM hackers and homebrew developers, scripting capabilities for tool-assisted speedrunners, and more. Although it's very new compared to other emulators, mGBA is already the most accurate GBA emulator around. It's also fast, and extremely portable, allowing it to run on many different platforms, including Windows, Linux, macOS, Wii, 3DS and PlayStation Vita.

Writing an emulator is usually a huge time consuming process and mGBA is no exception. With over 3 years of work already put in, rough estimates point to over 5000 hours poured in this project already. And while mGBA is mostly a hobby project, writing and maintaining mGBA is not free. Money is put into hosting the website and releases, as well as purchasing additional games and hardware for testing.

By supporting mGBA, you can help offset the costs of keeping the mGBA project going. If the existing costs of hosting can be covered, additional infrastructure can be added. This means more frequent builds, and more supported platforms. In time, mGBA will develop into the best emulator that it can possibly be.
