I've worked in academic publishing for 8 years, and have always wanted to become a book narrator. For anyone willing to join me on this journey and help me along the way, I'd be most grateful. All proceeds earned through Patreon will go toward upgrading my tech (hardware and software) and will allow me more time to work on my craft (ie. learning new tricks and techniques, dedicating more time to learning efficiency and more time in post-production).

If you like what I'm doing and feel comfortable doing so, I'd be most grateful for feedback or a couple bucks a month to support what I'm doing.

Thank you.
Tiers
Listener
$1 or more per month

Someone who enjoys listening and helping a guy understand the process and loves watching the process.

Talker
$2 or more per month

Someone who loves the mistakes just as much as the successes. And also loves providing advice and open feedback,... and another dollar per month.

Coach
$5 or more per month

You're starting to provide me with some real motivation and resources. You will be offered the opportunity once a month to bring up chapter-length projects for narration. If it is in the public domain or is licensed in a way which doesn't require royalties (some CC licenses, etc.) I will draw one a month, narrate, produce, and post the reading with links here.

You will also receive access to unique posts not offered to the public in any way, even on my soundcloud account.

Fan
$10 or more per month

This is awesome! In addition to participation in the monthly idea drawings for new chapter-length projects, you will be able to participate in the yearly novel-length project drawing by offering ideas, one of which will be chosen for my first major project (one a year after that).

The drawing for the yearly project will take place in the same fashion, with the same restrictions, as the monthly drawing.

You will also have access to unique narrations and VO spots created for myself and not made available anywhere else. These may include narrating my own writing, character and accent practice (including outtakes, of course) and some demos that aren't yet available to the public, even on SoundCloud.

Patron
$20 or more per month

In the middle ages, bards and other oratorical story tellers often had wealthy patrons who provided them with food, lodgings, instruments or writing materials, and often lessons and practice space to perfect their craft.

You are one of those people to me. Your contributions are amazing, are helping me realize doing something that I've always wanted to do.

In addition to the benefits of the previous two tiers, you will be mentioned as my official patron in the standard front-matter of any chapter-length or longer narration completed in this journey, unless I'm legally unable to do so for contractual reasons.

If you wish, the name of your choice will be listed as my official patron and, as in times past, I will wear your house color (choose the color you wish for my Patreon page). After consulting you I will also commission a digital coat of arms design from a local artist for your patronage and apply it to this tier and any unique narration posts I create while you're supporting me as my Patron).

Goals
0 of 5 patrons
When I reach 5 patrons, I'll begin taking votes and advice for chapter length projects every month. I'll take input from everyone but only those in higher tiers can cast binding votes (others' advice will be taken into account, but will not be able to have a binding effect on which chapters or stories I'll read).
