About Michael Dean Goodrich Music & VO

I have always wanted to utilize my voice talents for music, radio commercials, and animated acting roles.
I know my voice is the strongest talent I possess, and as i get older, I realize I should not waste this talent simply because it doesn't pay the bills.
It can pay the bills, and it should. With your help it will, and everyone gets to benefit. I have been blessed with a soothing deep charismatic Baritone voice range and I am finally ready to use it to its fullest!
My journey toward that goal started January 2020 and you can be a part of this.
My music needs some people that believe in it. I am currently spending time in the studio,  when I get money from gigs. I am working with a fantastic and seasoned Professional Engineer/Producer/Musician by the name of Cactus Jim Soldi.
Funds are running low, and I know the further into the first 5 songs we get, the more money i'll need to pay for additional musicians, then Mix, Master, and finalize the product for packaging a CD and for the Streaming platforms.
About me:
I started playing guitar at a young age, and quickly found a love for playing guitar and singing. Many different styles have influenced me over the years. From Country, Metal, Rock, to Punk, I’ve played it all and still listen to a lot of it to date.
I have always been fond of the old Country music icons like Randy Travis, Conway Twitty, Don Williams, and Johnny Cash. With a resonating tone in my voice that is reminiscent of those giants in music, I carry on that deep Baritone bellowing country vocal sound within the music I play and write.
Whether I’m belting out “Diggin’ up Bones”, I Believe in You”, “Slow Hand”, or “Folsom Prison Blues”, you’ll feel it in the floor boards and in your chest, and you’ll want to sing right along with it.
Singing the songs I love from that era of country and classic rock music is where I have found my niche.
My original songs have a style that mixes a number of those various influences, capturing the essence of those Country roots. My songs are very personal and there is a lot of emotion that I pour into them.
I am a Burn Survivor, and almost lost the ability to sing play guitar. July 2005 was a tragic time, but I have fought back with vigilance to regain my abilities. With fingertip amputations on my strumming hand the road back to playing has been long and continues, as I improve. I also had to retrain my voice as I had lung damage from smoke inhalation and vocal chords were weakened.
Living through those moments of desperation, loneliness, and heartache, the moments of joy, success, and hope too… I pour those emotions into my music.
take a listen and see if one or more of my songs brings you back to a time you felt something like that, and can look back now after getting through it? Are yourself living in that moment now and need a voice to sing along with about those troubled time? Well sing along my new friend.

My Voice-Over work is in the beginning stages, but i am making some great demos. My current full-time job is IT Help Desk, so I am on the phone speaking and coaching people through different scenarios all day. I've had to develop a "personality" for this job and I bring that to voice over work. As I progress in the VO field i will have all of my works in progress available exclusively to my Patreon subscribers.

I leave you for now with a little excerpt from one of my original songs
… “I doubt my dreams could ever be the same because I’m terrified that there’s no meaning – and I don’t have the faith to crawl to my knees and try to get up again – and I just can’t face the days without you here….” Dark Down Here – by Michael Dean Goodrich
