Midori Web Browser is creating a lightweight, fast, and free web browser

Midori is a lightweight yet powerful web browser which runs just as well on little embedded computers named for delicious pastries as it does on beefy machines with a core temperature exceeding that of planet earth. And it looks good doing that, too. Oh, and of course it's free software.

So what's this Patreon about?

Development of Midori is based on voluntary contributions, which leads to ups and downs based on the availability of developers. Wouldn't it be great to have a more robust foundation to keep progress going?

What will you do with the moneys then?

That's ultimately up to you... really, though, let's look at some of the possibilities:

  • Attending conferences like FrOSCon, OpenRheinRuhr, FOSDEM or FLISOL.
  • Paid developers - it should go without saying Midori will always be free software, but why not motivate those who contribute a little and boost development at the same time!
  • World domination? Under the umbrella of the Astian foundation Midori is able to grow a community all around the world and bring Midori to schools and NGOs and go beyond the English-speaking world.

What benefits do patrons get?

All development is happening out in the open. Making features exclusive to supporters wouldn't be in line with the project. However if you contribute here what you do get is a voice which the team will listen to.
