Hi there- my name is Mur Lafferty, long-time podcaster and author. I've won the Podcast Peer Award, the Parsec Award, the Manly Wade Wellman Award, and the John W. Campbell award for best new writer. My longest running podcast is called I Should Be Writing. This podcast has run, for free, since 2005, helping new writers overcome both emotional ("Rejection! My career is OVER!") and craft-specific ("How do I choose a POV for my novel?") writing problems. I interview pro writers, travel to cons, and sometimes post video. I've interviewed bestsellers, award winners, screenwriters, nonfiction, fiction,  genre fiction writers, although I do tend to trend toward science fiction/fantasy in my interviews. The advice is for all writers in specific, and creative types overall. (People such as songwriters, artists, and even people who just want to find out how writers' minds work listen to this show.)

New for 2015! Pledge levels are going to feature new perks, including periodic subscriber-only podcasts (like I did in November for NaNoWriMo, but not daily!), coupons for free video courses by me, and weekly hangouts. I'll also be doing a new show, Ditch Diggers, with Matt Wallace, a NSFW blunt look at writing as a career. It's going to be a great year!
