About

I make mostly digital works about the unexpected connections between things

Hey there! My name is Mike Rugnetta. When people at parties ask me what I do for a living, I have a hard time answering. Normally I say "I make internet things".

I write essays and make videos. I write music, and computer programs. I also write computer programs that write music. I make performances, and I give talks. I also make a podcast called Reasonably Sound; that has its own (per episode) patreon!

I'm hoping this Patreon will be a way for me to pull together the many different types of other things I make under one umbrella, in a way that allows them to inform one another, and which builds a context they may not otherwise share outside of my own brain. And I also hope that it'll allow us to work together to find out what sorts of things should be in the world, but aren't.

Thanks for your support. Let's make some stuff together. <3

p.s. This Patreon is a continuation of some work that began over at Kickstarter's soon-to-be-shuttered Drip. Over the coming weeks, I'll be migrating most of the posts on that drip to this Patreon, so please pardon the dripdust while things get [re]built.

p.p.s This patreon charges "up front", which means "New patrons will be charged the day they become a patron, then on the 1st of the month going forward." As far as I understand, drip does rolling charges throughout the month, so if you're coming from there, and watching your budgets, just keep this in mind!
