About Milby's Maps

My name is Matt Milby and I make maps.  I've been playing D&D and other roleplaying games since I was about 14 and I've been drawing for as long as I can remember.  Most of my roleplaying experience is as a DM (I'm one of those guys that was born behind the screen).

All my maps are hand-drawn and available for free on my website.  Your support keeps a pen in my hand for as many hours a week as possible.  That's what this is all about.  There are entire worlds in my imagination and I want to take you there.  Being able to spend more time drawing means we can go to bigger, crazier, more beautiful places.  Not everyone can afford to be a patron, but if you're one of those that can, I'd be honored to have your support. Take a look at what I've done and decide if I've earned it.  If you haven't seen Finbarr's Marsh, Tortuga or Brazenthrone, check those out in particular.  Megaprojects like those are something I spend a lot of my time on.  If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message or an email.

Lastly, here are some examples of my annotated maps and DM notes. Most of my maps have annotated versions and DM notes for patrons.
$700 – reached! per month
OPENING THE BOOKS - If we reach this goal, I will open my Book of Ideas, present 40-50 options and allow patrons to choose 10 of them in several rounds of voting. Those will be the next ten maps I draw (aside from Brazenthrone and the Cartographic Congress maps, which will continue).
