Hi there! I'm Cassidy Percoco, author of Regency Women's Dress: Techniques and Patterns 1800-1829 and of the blog A Most Beguiling Accomplishment. My M.A. in Fashion and Textile History, Theory, and Museum Practice is from FIT, and I work as a curator/collections manager.

Public history - history practiced outside of academia, like at museums and living history sites - is my passion. What I want to do, more than anything, is to share that passion with the world. The internet is a great tool for that! It lets me connect to people across the globe - like you.

The goal for my blog has always been to provide accurate and in-depth research on fashion/social history for a wide audience, based on good primary and secondary sources, or to make obscure primary sources more available to people, and that's not going to change. What you get from becoming my patron is:
  • the warm glow you get from supporting the field of public history (and I don't do pledge drives like PBS!)
  • the ability to read some behind-the-scenes chat from me with thoughts about what I'm working on or information that didn't make it into a post for various reasons
And you also know that you're encouraging me to keep on producing the content that you enjoy.
