Thank you, and a newsletter!
Thank you for supporting my work! For this tier I also send you a monthly-ish newsletter with my latest life news, publications, thoughts, what I'm reading, watching, listening to and stuff.
Other Indias (Column)
Besides me, you're now also friends with Yogini Vrishanana from 10th-century Pratihara Kingdom! This tier is for myths and stories from South Asia, with characters like her and more.
For $5 a month you get a column, a newsletter AND at the end of the year, a PDF of all my nonfiction writing together. I may try to illustrate it! How cool is that?
About Mimi Mondal
Welcome to my Patreon, where I write a column called OTHER INDIAS, which is about lesser-known South Asian history, myth and perspectives. I write it more like storytelling than scholarly articles. You'll like it if you're thinking of using South Asian elements in worldbuilding, and also just if you like stories. The column is available at the $2 patronage level.
For $1 you can also support my work and get blogging-style news, writing and publishing chat, and book/film/TV show recommendations from me.
What are you supporting
The earnings from this Patreon is what makes writing OTHER INDIAS possible for me, but there's more! I work as a freelancer, and usually this is my only income that arrives steadily on the promised day every month. Part of it goes towards my rent, and the rest into groceries and medical bills, and all of it makes it possible for me continue writing both nonfiction and fiction... much beyond just this column.
So what you're supporting is my entire artistic career, and I hope my stories, thoughts and opinions bring you joy.
