My name is Weldon and I am a sport psychology trainer who works with professional esport teams and athletes.

I stream a daily podcast about esport psychology & performance where I answer question from esport athletes (amateur or professional) from my background as a trainer and coach. I write a weekly newsletter where I cover research findings, notes and updates from the week related to performance psychology.

LENS: Definitely check out the Patreon app and follow me on lens! Especially if you already follow my Instagram or Snapchat story. I will handle most of my questions and comments via Q&A on Lens as well as on Discord in the VIP-chat channel.

I always try to take science and research based approach to give insight into the correct mindset and habits to approach performance and life. I have a Master's of Sport Science degree in sport and exercise psychology, and my main research area was behavior change in physical activity through life transitions (specifically from 0 to 1 child).

My current areas of interest are
  • Sport psychology within esport
  • Performance & health Nutrition
  • Physical activity & cognitive function
  • Fitness
  • Neuropsychology of gaming and esport (addiction vs performance)
  • Mindfulness

This channel is supported 100% by my fans, customers, and myself. Patreon, Twitch, individual trainings, and sales of my training program (mindgames.gg) raise funds to support the effort building the brand!

A bit about myself

I was a competitive swimmer for 21 years, and dabbled as well in tennis / soccer (football). After I injured myself from overtraining in college, I started a pursued a career teaching abroad in Chile, Japan, China & Finland. In 2007 I decided to move back towards sport, and become a very competent swim coach via self-study of human physiology, kinesiology, and some biomechanics (swimming specific). Eventually I went back from my Master's and transitioned to esport in 2012-2014 as I built my personal brand. Nowadays I have coached a number of professional esport athletes and won 4 titles as an League of Legends performance trainer or head coach. My main ambition is to influence amateur coaches to incorporate holistic training practices in their leadership of youth esport teams.
