Welcome Patrons!

Patreon is an amazing platform where we can support our creative people. The hard truth of being an artist is there is a lot of outlay of time and money, hopefully with a return somewhere in the future, which unfortunately makes it difficult to pursue and sustain most creative endeavours. Through Patreon creatives get paid a steady income by patrons (that’s you!), making art, and art projects possible.

As patrons you pledge a monthly amount (you choose how much) and receive something exclusive in return.

In my case, here is what I am wanting to do and how we can achieve it together.
So firstly I am an artist and though I would love to just paint all day I can’t help but be drawn into more community minded projects. Here are 3 that Ibwould like to invite you into.

Life-Art Program for Teenagers. The aim is to help students expand their awareness, self understanding, relationship skills and world view. Concepts are introduced and discussed and specific art activities and meditations are used to personally explore and process each concept. I'd like to trial the program in our town, Carnarvon with evidence-based testing before making it available further afield.

Illustrate a children's book. The book has been beautiful written by a psychologist and is designed to teach children (and parents!) ways to regulate their emotions. The illustrations take the reader on the imaginary adventures of a child where all his bedroom toys and props play a part in his journey. As he goes he is confronted with lots of different emotional challenges that he faces and must find ways to ground himself back to the reality and safety of his bedroom.
The goal for the book is to make it accessible to schools, daycares and parents both nationally and internationally.

Shared Art Studio and Art School in Carnarvon. So much talent, no one to coordinate it…. Yet!

Your Pledge will allow me to finance my time and materials while I write, paint, apply for community grants, research and make stuff happen. For you, I can take you on the behind the scenes creative journey, offer exclusive opportunities for art, workshops and events (such as the book launch!) and be my guinea pigs for the Life-Art project.

Thank you!

I'm currently writing a program aimed at helping teenagers build awarenes, self understanding, coping tools and a healthy worldview. Concepts are introduced and discussed and specific art activities  and meditation are  used to explore and process each concept and what is means to them.
I'd like to trial the program in our town, Carnarvon and have the program tested to make it evidence based and then make the program available further afield.
