$200 a month would allow me to survive without starving on my own dime.  Fortunately, there are many people who can help and other ways of getting food that this has not been a problem in the year I have been here.  God has watched out for me.

$300 a month would allow me to meet not only food but the huge expensive of paying for gas in my truck completely on my own.  This is the minimal amount one would need in this part of Mexico to meet expenses without getting help.

This will allow me to meet all expenses safely but also allow extra finances to bless others as I see fit.  Giving people rides, buying someone else dinner, purchasing materials for some project to help someone else, buy a CD player and headphones so someone can listen to the word of God in their own language...many many opportunities.

To become a temporary resident and no longer be simply a "tourist", I would need to be able to prove a total monthly income of $1300 US dollars in the past two months to qualify.  I do not "need" this much for survival but it may become necessary should the State of Baja California decide to enforce their existing federal laws in regards to visitor permits which would limit my time to only 6 months out of the year.  This would allow me to rent or own property with this status instead of having to put it in someone else's name.

Same as above but now, it's permanent!  It also sets me on the path to full citizenship in my new country.  This much money would allow for a full life: a house, a family, paying for children's needs.  I can't wait!
