My name is Melita Curphy but please call me Melly! I have been making artwork full time since 2008 but started selling my work online around 2003. You can see my work on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/missmonstermel/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">instagram</a> and<a href="http://missmonstermel.tumblr.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> tumblr</a> . I make my living mostly by making artwork for my online shop which you can see <a href="http://missmonster.myshopify.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here.</a> Over the last thirteen years my work has seen a wide spectrum of materials and applications. I am most proud of seeing my character designs given life with the Zeron Brotherhood I designed for the Guillermo del Toro show <a href="https://www.netflix.com/title/80179784" target="_blank">3 Below on Netflix</a>. My work is also exhibited in Guillermo's personal collection exhibit at the MUSA in Guadalajara, a huge honor.   I also had a mask turned into a 1/6 action figure and comic through <a href="http://www.glitch-store.com/index.php?route=product/product&amp;path=59&amp;product_id=89" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Glitch Network</a> which was a big dream come true since I also have a large collection of 1/6 toys. I've also created posters for <a href="https://www.nakatomiinc.com/2019/08/22/metallica-warsaw-by-miss-monster/">Metallica</a> and <a href="https://www.nakatomiinc.com/2019/07/10/patton-oswalt-chicago-print-by-miss-monster/" target="_blank">Patton Oswalt'</a>s recent <a href="https://www.nakatomiinc.com/2018/09/16/metallica-9-15-saskatoon-by-miss-monster/" target="_blank">tours</a>....it's been a wild ride! There is a bunch of other things I've done but the humble bragging is getting old, haha.   I want my Patreon to provide people with an education on 
molds/casting/sculpting/crafting/painting/ resources but also educate folks on what 
goes on behind the scenes in the lives of many artists and craftspeople who support 
themselves through the internet. Even small tips with shipping, pricing, convention displays are little kernels of knowledge that can make things that much easier for other artists. Basically all the things that i had to learn on my own through trial and LOTS of error are things i would like to be able to pass on here. We are individuals who work hard and 
have had to learn skills that reach beyond just making pretty pictures 
...come learn and see! What you get: I plan to post work in progress photos of
 sculptures or drawings, more detailed explanations of materials and 
tools, casts and molds , paints and what brands are good for what application,  prop making and any tips or tricks that i can 
think of that could be useful to others. I will cover: -1/6 figure and toy

 be part of this patreon. The more you pledge the more pictures, 
details, more explanations and the more personal the posts. The higher tiers can ask questions or even schedule a chat and pick my brain or ask for a constructive critique of a piece if they like. I have taught before and enjoyed it- i would love to pass on what i know to you! I also currently do freelance artwork for <a href="http://www.sideshowtoy.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Sideshow Collectibles </a>creating illustrations and props for their Court of the Dead original series.
