Fancy music videos!
I'll scout locations! I'll lip-sync to my own songs! I'll do multiple takes of things! I might even hire an editor! I'll direct real fancy-pants music videos like they have on the telly.
About
I think there's a great disparity between the number of love songs out there, and the number of songs about literally anything else, so I strive to fill in that gap with just my ukulele and my wits.

Who are you?
I’m Molly Lewis. I play the ukulele and write songs.
What’s all this then?
This is Patreon, a crowdfunding platform for independent artists.
So it’s like Kickstarter?
Well, yes and no. It is like Kickstarter in that fans pledge money to artists so they can make stuff. But, rather than a bunch of money all at once for a really big thing, fans pledge a smaller amount of money for a more consistent stream of smaller-scale things.
And where Kickstarter asks for money first and then uses it to make a big thing, on Patreon the artist asks for money AFTER the thing is already made, i.e. a tip for a job well done.
How often are you going to be putting out songs?
I'm going to put a conservative estimate of "every 4-6 weeks." I have some unpublished songs in the archive for now, but once I've burnt through that stake I'll be glad I didn't say "I'll write/record/edit a new song every 2 weeks!"
Why would I buy this cow when I’ve been getting the milk for free on YouTube?
You can absolutely still get the milk for free on the cow’s YouTube channel, and Patreon isn't going to change that. But the cow works really hard to produce this milk for you to enjoy, and if that milk means a lot to you and makes you happy, this is a way for you to throw the cow a little something extra for her effort and time. And as a 'thank you' for your support, the cow has all kinds of fun extra bits of cream to share with you on her Patreon page.
(Pro tip: I'M THE COW IN THIS METAPHOR.)
