Allen Webster is creating
a code editor called 4coder
Bringing higher standards to your computational life
4coder is a code editing application targeting C and C++ developers. The editor seeks to satisfy these four objectives:
- Powerful: all features are flexible and useful
- Well Made: runs quickly and robustly
- Accessible: easy to use where you want to use it
- Targeted: editing features that target C and C++ development
Not all of these objectives have been met, but by supporting me now you are helping me reach those objectives and make 4coder a high quality option for developers who make our games and computers work.
"4cpp", just a temporary code name I hope, is an open C++ parser that is spinning out of 4coder. The parser was originally written to power the semantic editing of 4coder. Along the way it occurred to me that an open source easy to use parser could be of use for many other projects, too many for me to tackle them all. So I decided it should be made into an open source library.
"4cpp" has a long way to go before it will be a full strength C++ parsing library. Support for 4coder and by extension 4cpp is greatly appreciated!
If you want to learn more there is a Site, a Twitch Channel for demos, and a YouTube Archive.
Thanks so much for the support!
