Hello! I'm General Mumble

I make and listen to a lot of music. I've been making music since I was a small blob - first using eJay, a program that I got a free demo for in a cereal box (remember getting free things in cereal??) to make music solely using pre-made loops, then moving up to making awful mashups and the audio equivalent to Youtube Poops in Adobe Audition, then starting a band through my teen years, and now the Mumble Etc. project.

I'm a big believer that music should be your own thing, that there is no "wrong" way to make music, and I will always make my music the way I want to. This may be a contributing factor to why I make such a large assortment of genres, and why sometimes the genre of my music might be hard to place. Be free of constraints when expressing yourself, whatever those constraints those might be!

I'm General Mumble. Welcome to the Mumble Etc. Patreon page! I appreciate your visit, regardless of whether you decide to pledge or not.

First things first, lets take a little bit to talk about (or listen to) what Mumble Etc. is.
Mumble Etc. is a one-man record label kinda thing, run by me, General Mumble. I make music under a host of different names, each with their own corresponding character and genre/theme.

Pledge $1.00 or more per month

This is what I like to call the Nothin' but love tier.

If you pledge $1/mo, you'll get:
  • Love
  • Nothin' else

(in all seriousness though, any pledge is a good pledge <3)

Pledge $2.00 or more per month

2 patrons
Pledging $2/mo gets you access to goodies such as:
  • Stem packs (my songs split into different files for different instruments & vocals) and sample packs (home made sounds, such as drums, recordings, synths, weird noises, anything i cook up worth sharing really), for producers etc.
  • Musical doodles and WiPs (you'll be hearing early versions of many songs before they're fleshed out, or some that never see the light of day)

WIPs are on a when-they-happen basis. Stems and Sample packs are too, but you're also free to request these!

Pledge $5.00 or more per month

7 patrons
Pledging $5/mo gets you all of the $2/mo tier, plus:
  • Free downloads of not-free tracks (example: tracks that are released on Youtube with no free MP3 link, or tracks that appear on paid albums). Feel free to request any track, too! 
  • Patreon-exclusive tracks (or songs that won't see the light of day until an album release)
  • At some point in the future, access to live streams will be included in this tier. However I've had multiple issues with my sound card that have prevented me from doing these with audio, which is pretty important. When that's fixed, I'll let everyone know.

Pledge $10.00 or more per month

Pledging $10/mo will get you all of the $5 and $2 tiers, plus:
  • All digital albums, old and new, free of charge and sometimes early*
  • Big discounts on all Createspace unlimited-run CDs***

Createspace discounts will be given out under the Creations tab when the CD is released. There will be two posts for each Createspace CD release - one that is public for all to see, and one for you $10+ Patrons that contains a discount code.

*unless restricted by a deadline, eg. if I'm making an album all the way up to an inflexible release date (Halloween, etc.)
**Prices cannot be lowered down past the very base price. This is typically around $5 or $6, which covers Createspace's costs of putting the CD together. Saving you up to 2/3rds off CDs.

Pledge $14.00 or more per month

5 patrons
Pledging $14 dollars/mo will get you all the benefits of the $10, $5, and $2 tiers, plus:
  • Credited as a top contributor (or something like that) on every album onwards, digital and physical

PLEASE DIRECT MESSAGE ME AFTER PLEDGING IF I DON'T MESSAGE YOU FIRST, with the name you would like to go by, as I will NOT add your name to the list of top contributors without your preferred alias and your go-ahead.

Pledge $15.00 or more per month

If you pledge $15/mo, you'll get all of the benefits of the $14, $10, $5, and $2 tiers, plus:
  • Guaranteed all limited edition physical music releases free of charge, signed, and delivered to your door*
  • Access to a private Skype group in which you and everyone in it is free to ask me questions/tear me apart/suggest song ideas/give me feedback/ask for feedback on your own projects/chat/send bum selfies/anything (see "creations" tab after pledging for Skype details)

*all releases from your pledge onwards. Unfortunately cannot apply to Createspace physical releases as these are not handled by me and are not Limited Edition, but you'll get those at a reduced rate through discount codes, thanks to the $10 perk.
