Thank you
for coming to my Patreon Page.

I am a pianist with an international career, a doctorate, and a faith in the power of music to improve your life, and this world. With the advancement of medical technology, the benefit of music has been increasingly quantified.
I want to promote music and musicians as healing agents to remind us that what we share is greater than our differences.

I want to share. I know that music can make you happier, healthier and more productive. I also know that it can make us appreciate how we all share our time and space in this world. Let me show you how! I I feel so grateful to be the musician that I am today, with the experience and perspective I have been able to cultivate through my life in music. It is my mission to share the interactive experience of music with as many people as I possibly can. In addition to performing internationally, I have also been giving lectures, teaching lessons, and writing about music as other ways to share the music. I have also been brainstorming with experts of diverse fields to revolutionize ways of delivering music in ways that is most relevant and impactful to our world, today.

There are three projects I am asking you to support me on through Patreon.
#1 "On-Call Musical Doctor" I would like an interactive, participatory experience of music to be available to as many people as there are desires. To start with, I would like to produce a series of tutorial webinar on how to understand and implement the fundamental ideas of the healing power of music to your daily practice at your instrument.
Ultimately, what I want is to start a business of music delivery service to communities without easy access to musical experience. I would first like to identify more clearly where the needs are, and how best to respond to the needs. To this end, I have been attending conferences, traveling, and listening to people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

#2 Writing my book "Stripping Beethoven: A Japanese Pianist's Quest for Authenticity and Authority." In this memoir, I share my fifteen-year journey to conquer stage fright. In the course of this journey, I identify the root cause of my stage fright: the pervasive sexual harassment in classical music industry, and misogyny and racism inherent to the history of Western classical music. That combined with the Romantic notion that one has to suffer in order to achieve the artistic ideal, prevent the Western classical music to be happier, healthier and more productive. I want my journey and experience to be a lesson to aspiring musicians, and music lovers.

#3 Promoting music as a healing agent on the online platforms.
I use social media everyday to share my faith in the power of music, my daily practice and discoveries with the world.

Please join forces with me. If you cannot help me financially today, I would also appreciate any support in forms of "likes," comments and "shares" of any of my social media posts. If you have any suggestions, in forms of ideas, organizations to reach out to, resources to look into, etc. I would appreciate these recommendations as well.
