Thank you for taking the time to know more about me. My name is Ahmar Mustikhan, an ethnic Baloch, now 59, who had three nationalities in my life: Burmese, Pakistani and now American. I have worked in newsrooms in three countries: Pakistan, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

I have been a journalist most of my life,  I live because I write. My desire is to see Mother Earth becoming a livable home for all humans and other living creatures.

I came to the US on a fellowship of the Society for Environmental Journalism on my 41st birthday, leaving behind so many things that were truly dear to me and told myself, "Every end is a new beginning. How true is that life begins at 40."

After arriving in the US I came out of closet with a vengeance. I am proud to be the first openly gay Baloch among more than 30 million Baloch in Balochistan-- a France-sized country that the British left divided among Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan-- and the Baloch diaspora.

If you like my writings, please consider becoming my patron so I can continue to write.

Please feel free to contact me on twitter @mustikhan or email [email protected] or cell 301-957-0008.
