The Skinny...

We won't bore you guys by begging for your hard earned cash, in fact we don't expect any money from anyone. BUT... if you feel like our content is worth something to you, and you have the means to give a little something back, we will be very happy to receive it! Please read on...

Wait! You Want Us To Pay You To Ride Dirt Bikes??

A lot of you probably think we ride dirt bikes 6 days a week, then spend an hour or so between cold beers doing up a quick video edit... why should you pay us to live the dream??

The reality is we very rarely get to ride more than once a week. Nat works full time - she was working 6 days a week - only recently she's switched jobs and has most of her Saturdays back (we're so happy about that!) Josh was working 12 hour shifts for peanuts at the local pine panel factory but the night shifts & constant weekend work left precious little time for living life and eventually began creating problems at home. At the moment he's unemployed but focused fully on growing MVDBR Enduro. Josh chooses not to go on any unemployment benefit and mooch off taxpayers, he's scraping by on savings and what pittance we do get from YouTube etc.

So basically now Josh's week, other than a Saturday or Sunday dirt bike ride, consists of the following: Firstly and fore-mostly, video editing. After making the extra effort and usually missing out on a lot of the riding fun to get the good footage, it's time to turn that footage into something people will be interested in watching! We won't go into the boring details but every video edit takes around 2 full days. Not sissy little 8 hour days either, we're talking solid 10-12 hour shifts sat at the computer, cutting it all up and sticking it all back together. Then of course the final cut has to be rendered, uploaded to YouTube, and all the stuff that goes with it. It all takes time!

The other 3 working days of the week are not spent lying in the sun in Tahiti either. They generally include, but are not limited to: picking, packing & dispatching merch orders; washing bikes and gear; bike repairs and maintenance; finding interesting stuff to post on our Facebook page etc; replying to the hundreds of comments on YouTube and other social media; designing logos, stickers, t-shirts, and other merchandise; maintaining and updating our website pages; aaaaaaaaaand of course all the domestic stuff that we all have to make time for. Ugh.

Don't get me wrong though... if we could make even half a living out of doing this stuff, we really WOULD be living the dream. We enjoy riding (duh!) and we enjoy making videos! And you obviously enjoy watching the videos. It's a win win! And the reality is, if even just half of our current YouTube subscriber base pledged just $1 to us per month, we'd be well on our way to making this whole thing sustainable. Yep, just ONE DOLLAR PER MONTH. Who would even miss a buck a month?? :)

OK, So Do I Get Anything Back For My Money?

Sadly we can't offer anything special in return for your coin, other than early access to some of our awesome dirt bike videos and a warm fuzzy feeling you may or may not get in your generous heart. You will however be able to bask in the knowledge that you're helping to keep this whole rickety rig rolling forward! We will also maintain a supporters list of awesome Patrons on our website (unless of course you wish to remain anonymous).

What Will You Do With My Money?

Keep making videos, and keep improving our videos. We could also really use some new gear: a new GoPro for Nat is first on the list, and perhaps a drone as well. After that who knows, the sky may not be the limit! We may also use some to feed ourselves and pay rent, you know, boring stuff like that :(

And Finally...

If you do choose to become a patron and support us and what we do, we would both like to thank you ever so much for your generosity and we hope our content continues to entertain and inspire you!

- Nat & Josh

PS Please be aware that Patreon works in US dollars, so depending on your currency conversion rate at the time, you may be charged slightly more (or less) than the dollar amount you pledge.
