I started working on Zend Framework before any code was public, and worked my way up through the team to become project lead in 2009. For 10 years, I served in this position, helping release three major versions of the framework, as well as spin off new projects such as Apigility and Expressive. During my tenure, I helped to form the PHP Framework Interop Group (PHP-FIG), and helped develop a half-dozen standards with the group, incorporating them into the ZF ecosystem as I did.

In 2019, with the consent of Rogue Wave Software (now Perforce), I started the work of transitioning the project to a new project under the Linux Foundation, as the Laminas Project. The goal is to expand the visibility and ecosystem of the project by allowing greater participation in its marketing and development.

As of June 30, 2019, I am no longer an employee of Perforce. However, I plan to continue shepherding the Laminas Project, including helping identify members and continuing in my role as project lead.

Until the project is funded, I need your help to do this!

If you've ever used Zend Framework, Apigility, or Expressive in your projects, and want to help the project grow, consider helping both myself as well as sponsoring the Laminas Project as a member.

Funds raised here will be used to cover domain registrations, hosting costs, and a portion of my time managing the project.
