Hi, I'm mysticalpha. If you're here, you most likely will know who I am. For those who don't, I'm best known for doing fanart in general. I do all sorts of art from fanart of things I like to original random characters from the depths of my mind.
This page is for those of you who like my art enough that you want to throw money at me. Let's face it. You have no reason to pledge to me at all. I'm not here to feed you some sad story about how my dog's sick or that I'm poor AF (which I am). We all have bills to pay and we all work hard to earn a living so even a dollar is very precious. If you pledge at least that dollar and show your support, it'll help me pay a bill or two, devote the extra time I could have spent working for someone else to get the same amount of money towards my art so you can enjoy more of it.
Here's how it's going to work. Each month, I create a number of pictures. When you pledge, you'll get to see them early and before I post them outside of Patreon. Early access to new art is the key reward.
Tier 1: You get to see art early
Tier 2: You get to see art early + the monthly comic
Tier 3: You get to see Tier 1 and Tier 2 + alternate versions, if available, of any of the pictures in the lower tiers. You will definitely get a wallpaper of one of the comic panels
Do you have exclusive content?
None of the art I create are exclusive to Patreon.
So, all I have to do is wait if I don't pledge?
If you don't or can't pledge, all you have to do is wait for the art to be posted publicly. It isn't about making people pay for paywall content. It isn't just about the rewards. It's about supporting your favorite content creators.
Surely, you have some incentive.
You'll get to see my art early. That's the main incentive. However, I don't want you to think like that. It's about supporting your favorite artist. If you insist, the other incentives are being able to see my art in high resolution and getting previews of the pictures in progress every now and then. I also include commissions and public posts, if any, in high resolution as a bonus.
Wait, I've been pledged for more than a month now and I haven't seen you post this reward picture publicly.
I don't post all the reward pictures publicly in one shot. I spread them out throughout a span of 1-2 months. Ideally, I can post them all before the month's over but there are sometimes pictures that do not get posted for a few reasons.
- I just haven't gotten around to it and I end up forgetting it even existed.
- I feel that it's not ready to post. Some pictures are not fully fleshed out or aged enough for me to spot any potential flaws with them. When this happens, I won't be able to post it until I fix them which I usually don't have time for.
- I feel that the picture will not get a lot of attention so it remains at the bottom of the barrel.
- You're not on the right platform that I posted the picture on.
But I like the picture and so will others.
Yes, but I have to like it too. It has to represent and express my idea for it otherwise, to me, the picture is incorrect.
How does pledging work?
You pick a tier you want to be in (or not if you choose not to receive any reward) and you'll get charged upfront. Once your pledge goes through, you'll be able to gain access to the Patreon feed where I post the rewards. It's recommended you pledge in the first half or close to the beginning of the month because you will be charged the beginning of the following month and each month after that if you stay pledged.
Is there a way to see past rewards?
Past rewards are available to their respective tiers on the Patreon feed. They are also posted publicly outside of Patreon but has no indication that it's a Patreon reward.
Why do you have 2 Patreon pages?
This page is SFW and once you set NSFW on a Patreon page, it gets treated differently than SFW pages. There are also people who only want to see one of the two, especially the people who doesn't approve of NSFW at all and only want to see SFW content. There's no easy way to mix the two. Having 2 pages isn't a greedy attempt to get more support. I don't want to maintain 2 pages either.
